As the largest mixer in the original SQ series, the SQ-7 provides 33 motorized 100mm faders across six customizable layers, 32+1 onboard mic preamps, 16 assignable SoftKeys, 8 assignable Soft Rotaries, and a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. This extensive control surface is designed for engineers who need fast hands-on access to large and complex mixes.

96kHz XCVI FPGA Processing

The SQ-7 is built around Allen & Heath's 96kHz XCVI FPGA processing core, delivering high-resolution digital audio and ultra-low latency for professional live sound and production applications.

Every input channel includes a high-pass filter, gate with sidechain and filter, insert point, 4-band parametric EQ with RTA, and Peak/RMS compressor. Mixes include parametric EQ, 28-band graphic EQ, and compression.

33 Motorized Faders and 7-Inch Touchscreen

The SQ-7 features 33 motorized 100mm faders arranged across six customizable layers. Channels and mixes can be assigned to any strip, allowing engineers to create a personalized control layout for FOH, monitor, broadcast, and production workflows.

The 7-inch capacitive touchscreen provides access to routing, processing, setup, metering, and mixer configuration. Allen & Heath's Chromatic Channel Metering provides clear visual feedback across the channel strips.

16 SoftKeys and 8 Soft Rotaries

The SQ-7 includes 16 assignable SoftKeys and 8 assignable Soft Rotaries for quick access to frequently used functions. These controls can be configured to match different live sound, monitor, broadcast, and installation workflows.

8 Stereo FX Engines and DEEP Processing

The SQ-7 includes 8 stereo FX engines with dedicated stereo returns. The RackExtra FX library provides professional reverbs, gated reverbs, delays, modulation effects, and other processing without consuming the 48 available input channels.

The mixer is also DEEP Processing ready, allowing compatible processing models to run directly within the SQ platform without adding external hardware or processing latency.

32×32 USB Audio Interface

The built-in 32×32 USB audio interface supports 96kHz operation for multitrack recording, playback, livestreaming, virtual soundcheck, and production applications.

The USB interface provides a convenient connection between the SQ-7 and a computer for recording and production workflows. The mixer can also be used with Allen & Heath's MIDI Control application for DAW control.

SQ-Drive Direct USB Recording

The integrated SQ-Drive system allows direct recording and playback using a compatible USB drive. The SQ-7 can record up to 16 channels at 96kHz, 32 channels at 48kHz, or a stereo mix without requiring a computer.

Flexible SLink Expansion

The SQ-7 includes an SLink port for remote audio and system expansion. Compatible Allen & Heath Everything I/O products can be connected to expand the system with additional inputs and outputs.

The SQ-7's 64×64 I/O Port supports optional audio networking cards for Dante, Waves, MADI, and SLink, making the console suitable for professional audio networks, broadcast systems, FOH/monitor splits, recording facilities, and installations.

Professional Monitor Mixing

The SQ-7 provides 12 stereo mixes plus LR and 3 stereo Matrix mixes, making it particularly suitable for monitor mixing and in-ear monitoring applications. Its SLink connectivity also allows integration with the Allen & Heath ME Personal Mixing System.

Automatic Mic Mixing

The SQ-7 supports Automatic Mic Mixing for applications such as conferences, panel discussions, meetings, broadcast, and other productions requiring multiple microphones.
